Description
Located at the Southern entry point of Kuala Lumpur Golden Triangle, The Exchange 106 has carved its own place in the Kuala Lumpur skyline at the core of an iconic 70-acre integrated development Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) that is set to become Malaysia’s first international financial district. The tower was formerly known as TRX Signature Tower.
Functionality
The Exchange 106 is purpose built as a financial centre with a gross floor area of 53,835 square meters (4,885,000 square feet), and lettable floor area of 2,600,000 square feet. The column-free and long span office floors are designed for flexible open plan layouts and interior configurations, each floor size of 26,000 to 34,000 square feet, largest column-free floor spaces in Malaysia. The lobby connects to a large, stylish and naturally lit atrium of retails and dining outlets, and connects to a dedicated walkway to MRT Exchange station. There are also six floors of underground parking with the capacity of 2116 parking bays.
The tower’s most important element of the design is the contribution to environmental protection, by efficient energy consumption, water usage, lighting and electrical demands, waste management, use of proper materials with recycled content, construction methods, recycling program for waste removal, altogether achieving the Gold Standard on the Green Buildings Index (GBI) certification.
A built in infrastructure to facilitate Exchange 106’s certification as a Cybercentre under Malaysia’s Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC).
Malaysia’s International Centre For Finance And Business
TRX is a strategic enabler of the Malaysian government’s Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) which will further strengthen Kuala Lumpur’s role as the country’s financial capital, by the creation of a seamless and central business environment for financial services firms, multinational companies (MNCs) and supporting ancillary businesses.
TRX is destined to be an international centre for economic and financial activity strongly supported by the Government of Malaysia in facilitating investments and business operations in TRX as demonstrated by the attractive incentives available to partners and investors.
Master Plan
Excellent connectivity, iconic public realms and smart and sustainable design come together to create a true urban village. TRX combines a carefully planned integrated development with Offices, Residentials, Mall and Hotel components with outdoor recreational and hospitality areas designed to create the perfect work/live/play balance. At the heart of TRX is a 10-acre public green nexus TRX Central Park, located on the rooftop of the mall. The interlinking open spaces embrace an urban park and forest walkway that surpasses global standards. A pedestrian boulevard will connect TRX with the Bukit Bintang shopping belt, creating a seamless lifestyle destination that is vibrant, lively and inclusive.
